We Love You

Love’s a funny thing.

It can be kind of hard to understand or even define.  We seek it out, but don’t always know how to find it.  We think it’s a little flutter in our chest, but then aren’t sure if that’s really it.  Love can feel like a lot of things, but it’s so much than butterflies – that’s just the tiniest piece of it.

Love is taking someone else’s burdens upon yourself.  Love is compassion.  Love is unconditional. Love is doing what seems crazy and impossible for the people you love most.  Love is sacrificing yourself for the ones you can’t bear to live without.  It’s that kind of love that casts our fear.  It’s the love of the Father that never lets you go.

See, love is everything.

That may sound sappy, but it really is.  It’s The Creator’s love for us that has remained immovable throughout the generations; so much so that even when we abandon Him, He never stops chasing after us.  He will stop at nothing to ravish our hearts, and He would gladly take on the cross again just for our sake.

Love drives His heart to be moved by compassion for us.  It’s the reason why He truly and deeply cares about every minuscule detail of our lives. The Father is intimately and wonderfully crazy about us.

The Father is intimately and wonderfully crazy about YOU.

Luke 15:4-6 says,

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?  And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.  When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.”

God will leave the 99 for you.  You are so valuable that He would do anything to bring you home.

For every time that you have ever felt unwanted, or insignificant, or small, God wants you to know that you are pure treasure to Him.  You have worth.  You have value.  You have a purpose.  And God wants you to truly feel the joy that His love brings.

At Set Free Alliance, we’ve seen what God’s love does firsthand.  It raises leaders up, sends them out, and calls for new seeds to be planted.  It causes people to give up their jobs to rescue slaves and feed the poor.  It moves people to give in ways they never thought possible, and it drives people to pray with a ferocity and power that they never have before.

It empowers.  It heals.  It rescues.

And it call on hearts of God’s people to spread the love they have received with those around them.

God longs to see His children moved with compassion for each other, and the joy that it brings Him when it happens is overwhelming.

We hope that today, you feel love all around you and recognize how greatly God delights in you.  Know that you are so valuable, and know that we, and over 14,000 children who have been rescued from a life of slavery because of your prayer and your giving love you. We love you and we are so thankful for what you have done and who you are.
