How To Raise $177 Million In A Day

Each year, Black Friday seems to get earlier and earlier, and between that and Cyber Monday, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of good deals.

That’s why, on November 28, Set Free Alliance is participating in #GivingTuesday with our very own #GivingFreedomDay, a day to continue our mission of freeing children from slavery in India.

#GivingTuesday is a global movement meant to break up the consumerism that seems to turn the season of giving into the season of getting.

Giving Tuesday is for giving back.

This day of online giving takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and inspires individuals, communities, businesses and organizations to encourage philanthropy and fundraising for a cause that is important to them.

In 2016, all 50 states in the U.S. and 98 other countries gave back during this annual event, raising over $177 million for a wide range of organizations worldwide. #GivingTuesday is in its fifth year, but this will be our second #GivingFreedomDay.

Last year alone, you helped us raise over $7,000. This year, we believe we can raise even more.  As always..

…every penny of your donation will go directly to rescuing children in India from slavery, reuniting them with their families and rehabilitating them.

Children who cannot be reunited with their families will be given safe housing, food, clothes, and an education. Not only will these children have opportunities that they wouldn’t have before, such as receiving an education and learning a trade skill to support themselves in the future, they’ll hear a message they may have never had the chance to before – the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His love for them and the value He sees in them.

This November 28th, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, help us kick-off the giving season by turning #GivingTuesday into a day for giving freedom, new life, hope and purpose to children in India living in slavery.
